Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum

At Kelsey Primary School, we aim to create learners who are responsible, determined and respectful. Our children feel valued and safe in school and we pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our parents/careers and children as they begin their educational journey. We treat every child as an individual and are committed to the development of the ‘whole child’. We aim for children to enter Year 1 as an independent, responsible and respectful learner with a desire to learn and the confidence to know they can achieve.

Our Early Years curriculum is designed to ensure that all learners:

  • Learn and develop in a healthy and safe environment showing determination, responsibility and respect.
  • Gain the knowledge and skills to create foundations for future progress in school ensuring they are Key Stage ready.
  • Are given the best possible start to school and are supported to fulfil their potential with growing independence.
